Islamabad: Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz has announced that the provincial government is set to introduce legal reforms aimed at further empowering women. Talking to Acting US Ambassador to Pakistan Natalie A. Baker in Lahore today, she emphasized the need for comprehensive policies to tackle development challenges and climate change.

According to Radio Pakistan, the meeting between Chief Minister Nawaz and Ambassador Baker covered a wide range of topics, including the promotion of education, security, and investment opportunities in Punjab. The discussions highlighted the importance of enhancing bilateral cooperation in areas such as security, Artificial Intelligence, digital assets, and energy.

Both parties expressed a mutual interest in engaging US experts to aid Punjab's initiatives in flood management and smog mitigation. They also deliberated on a proposal to establish a Punjab-U.S. Business and Investment Forum in Lahore, aiming to strengthen economic ties and explore new avenues for collaboration.
