Lahore: Chief Minister's Focal Person on Polio Uzma Kardar has announced the government's unwavering commitment to eradicating polio from the country, emphasizing the utilization of all available measures to achieve this goal. According to Radio Pakistan, Uzma Kardar, during an interview with correspondent Qasim Bukhari, highlighted that the ongoing polio campaign is actively implementing strategies such as geotagging mobile populations through the Provincial Taskforce for Polio Eradication. She mentioned that special teams have been established to ensure the vaccination of children at entry and transit points across the province. Uzma Kardar further explained that efforts are being made to improve routine immunization (EPI) coverage, which is crucial for the complete elimination of polio. The provincial government has undertaken comprehensive measures to address any shortcomings in the anti-polio campaign, with the ultimate aim of eradicating this debilitating disease.
