Lahore: Federal Minister for Petroleum Ali Pervaiz Malik has reiterated the government’s steadfast commitment to providing comprehensive facilities to both local and foreign investors. He made these remarks during a meeting with a delegation comprising over twenty-five member companies of the American Business Forum in Lahore.
According to Radio Pakistan, the Minister emphasized the necessity of maintaining a pro-business and investor-friendly taxation and regulatory environment. He assured the attendees that the government is fully aware of the importance of these measures in retaining investor confidence and attracting further trade and Foreign Direct Investment (FDI).
Ali Pervaiz Malik acknowledged the significant role of the business community, particularly American businesses, in the economic landscape of Pakistan. The Minister highlighted the government’s approach to engaging with the business community as partners, which was well-received by the ABF Board of Directors. They commended the proactive stance of Ali Pervaiz Malik in fostering collaboration with business entities.
In related developments, the State Bank of Pakistan reported that FDI flow to Pakistan reached 141 million dollars in April this year, showing a significant increase from 26 million dollars in March.
