Government Revises Petroleum Product Prices, Petrol and Diesel Costs Surge

Islamabad: The government has revised the prices of petroleum products for today. According to a press release issued by the Ministry of Energy, the price of petrol has been increased by 6.39 rupees per litre, setting the new price at 327.12 rupees per liter.

According to Radio Pakistan, the price of High Speed Diesel has also been increased by 7.83 rupees per liter, bringing the new price to 375.04 rupees per liter. These adjustments reflect the government's response to current economic conditions and international market trends.

Meanwhile, Minister for Petroleum Ali Pervaiz Malik stated that the government is actively reviewing the recently introduced fuel pricing mechanism. In a conversation with a private news channel, he emphasized that the government is fully aware of the financial burden these higher fuel prices place on citizens and is committed to finding solutions to mitigate these impacts.
