Islamabad: Planning Minister Ahsan Iqbal has said the government is pursuing ambitious plans to elevate Pakistan's exports to 100 billion dollars, through a technology-driven economy in the next eight years. Addressing a conference at the National University of Sciences and Technology in Islamabad today, he underscored the importance of the digital revolution and knowledge-driven innovation. He added that the world is witnessing an explosion of knowledge and technological advancements. He stressed the need for entrepreneurial and innovative ventures to secure a significant place on the global stage. According to Radio Pakistan, the Minister highlighted the critical role of women in nation-building, stating that young women are not just excelling in startups but are making strides in science and technology globally. Regarding climate change challenges, the Minister highlighted the government's focus on water and food security and the integration of technology to revolutionize agriculture. He stressed the impo rtance of sustainable practices and investments in environment-related initiatives, aligning with the government's overarching development goals under the 5Es Framework. Concluding his address, the Planning Minister expressed his unwavering belief in the leadership potential of Pakistan's women and youth.
