Islamabad: Finance Minister Muhammad Aurangzeb has announced that the Federal Budget is designed to provide substantial relief measures for various sectors, including the salaried class, corporate sector, construction industry, and small businesses. During his address at the Finance Standing Committee of the National Assembly on Thursday, he emphasized the government’s commitment to economic relief and growth.
According to Radio Pakistan, Aurangzeb highlighted that the budget does not impose any new taxes on the agriculture sector, aligning with the government’s strategy to support agrarian economic growth. He also revealed that over 700 billion rupees are earmarked for the Benazir Income Support Programme, which is set to benefit more than ten million families across the nation.
The Finance Minister underscored the budget’s focus on boosting exports by reducing tariffs and duties on raw materials, providing much-needed support to exporters. These measures are expected to enhance the country’s export capabilities and stimulate economic activity in key sectors.
