Islamabad: Chairman Senate Syed Yousaf Raza Gilani has urged the nation to fully embrace the ideals and vision of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah to construct an inclusive and prosperous Pakistan. He delivered his remarks during an event commemorating the birth anniversary of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah at Aiwan-e-Sadr in Islamabad.
According to Radio Pakistan, the Chairman emphasized that Quaid-e-Azam envisioned Pakistan as a modern democratic state founded on the principles of equality, justice, and the rule of law. Gilani highlighted that Quaid-e-Azam was not only the founder of Pakistan but also a symbol of principled leadership, constitutionalism, and moral courage. He noted that the founding father’s principles are as pertinent today as they were at the time of Pakistan’s inception, with his political journey molded by constitutionalism and democratic ideals.
The Chairman Senate further stressed that those in positions of authority must prioritize national interest over personal gains. He underscored the importance of institutions operating with transparency and integrity, and urged the youth to dedicate themselves to learning discipline and serving the nation.
