Sharm el-sheikh: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has termed the Gaza peace plan as a crucial step towards lasting peace in the Middle East. In a social media post on X, the Prime Minister said he has arrived in Sharm El-Sheikh, Egypt to attend the signing ceremony of the landmark Gaza peace plan.
According to Radio Pakistan, the Prime Minister expressed his gratitude to the co-hosts of the Sharm El-Sheikh Peace Summit, Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, and US President Donald Trump. The Prime Minister emphasized that this moment would not have been possible without President Donald Trump’s leadership and commitment. He credited Trump’s dedication to peace for ending the ongoing violence and destruction.
Shehbaz Sharif highlighted that the ceremony marks the conclusion of a tragic period, urging the international community to ensure such events are never repeated. He asserted that the resilient Palestinian people deserve to live in a free Palestine, with pre-1967 borders and Al Quds Al Sharif as their capital city.
