Islamabad: Planning Minister Ahsan Iqbal has emphasized that Pakistan's future economy should be driven by knowledge, technology, innovation, and exports. He shared these insights while speaking at the concluding ceremony of the Digital Design and Verification Training Programme 2026 at the Ghulam Ishaq Khan Institute of Engineering Sciences and Technology (GIKI) today.

According to Radio Pakistan, the Minister highlighted the importance of the youth developing the capability to transform their knowledge and education into modern technological solutions. He urged the younger generation to aim at taking Pakistani products to global markets, underscoring the significance of innovation and technological advancement in ensuring the country's economic progress.

Ahsan Iqbal also lauded GIKI's role in providing Pakistan with high-quality human capital, acknowledging the institute's contribution to nurturing skilled professionals capable of driving the nation towards a knowledge-based economy.
