Rawalpindi: The funeral prayer of Major Syed Moiz Abbas Shah Shaheed was offered at Chaklala Garrison in Rawalpindi today. Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, the Interior Minister, senior serving military and civil officials, officers, and soldiers attended the solemn occasion.
According to Radio Pakistan, Major Syed Moiz Abbas Shah embraced martyrdom during an operation while fighting against Indian-sponsored Fitna al Khawarij in Sararogha, South Waziristan District. Following the funeral, his body was transported to his native hometown, where he will be laid to rest with full military honors.
During the ceremony, Syed Asim Munir spoke about Major Syed Moiz Abbas’s bravery, noting that he laid down his life in the line of duty, upholding the traditions of sacrifice and patriotism. He emphasized that the entire nation stands united in both grief and pride, saluting the major’s sacrifice for the country’s defense.
The Chief of Army Staff highlighted the eternal debt owed to martyrs, stating that the blood of Shuhada forms the foundation of the nation’s strength.
