Islamabad: The Foreign Office has urged the spokesperson of the Taliban regime to refrain from commenting on matters outside their jurisdiction. In a statement issued in Islamabad, Foreign Office Spokesperson Shafqat Ali Khan emphasized the importance of non-interference in the internal affairs of other countries.
According to Radio Pakistan, the statement addressed recent comments made by the Taliban regime’s spokesperson concerning Pakistan’s internal affairs. Khan encouraged the Afghan spokesperson to focus on issues pertinent to Afghanistan rather than engaging in matters beyond their jurisdiction. The principle of non-interference, as per international diplomatic norms, should be adhered to by all countries.
The Foreign Office also highlighted Pakistan’s expectation that the Taliban regime would honor its commitments made during the Doha Process. The statement underscored that the Taliban should prevent their land from being used for terrorism against other countries and should focus on forming an inclusive and representative government.
