Peshawar: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Governor Faisal Karim Kundi announced that the financial bids for the first phase of the Chashma Lift Canal project in Dera Ismail Khan have been finalized.

According to Radio Pakistan, Governor Kundi stated in Peshawar that the federal government has implemented practical measures for this significant project, moving beyond mere promises. The Governor highlighted that Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif, Chairman of the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, and the Chairman of the Water and Power Development Authority (WAPDA) are scheduled to inaugurate the Chashma Lift Canal soon.

Governor Kundi emphasized that the Chashma Lift Canal is expected to initiate an agricultural transformation throughout the province, with a particular focus on enhancing the agrarian landscape of Dera Ismail Khan.
