Minister for Industries and Production Rana Tanveer Hussain has said fertilizer companies will open model centers in every district for the convenience of farmers. Chairing a meeting of Fertilizer Review Committee in Islamabad, he said this will enable farmers to purchase fertilizer at the original price and bring an end to the manipulation of dealers. Rana Tanveer Hussain mentioned that Fauji Fertilizer Company inaugurated a few model centers last week. The Minister said the government will not allow farmers to be exploited by middlemen. He directed the provinces to take strict action against hoarding and price manipulation. The committee expressed satisfaction over the stock availability of fertilizer. Source: Radio Pakistan
