Islamabad:The Federal Board of Revenue has announced an extension for filing income tax returns for Tax Year 2026. The new deadline is now October 15, providing a 15-day extension.

According to Radio Pakistan, the extension was granted following requests from various trade bodies and tax bar associations.

The new deadline applies to individuals who were initially required to file their income tax returns by September 30.
