Lahore: The launching ceremony of a new English poetry book by renowned poetess Farzana Aqib, titled ‘Sweat, Blood and Salt Hail the Valiant Hearts,’ will be held at the Quaid-e-Azam Library in Lahore tomorrow [Saturday]. The book pays tribute to the meritorious services of Pakistan’s Armed Forces during Operation Bunyan um-Marsoos.

According to Radio Pakistan, Farzana Aqib mentioned that the event will also feature the launch of ten additional English poetry books authored by her. With this launch, the total number of her published works will rise to seventy, marking a significant milestone in contemporary Pakistani literature.

Farzana Aqib highlighted that book corners featuring her complete literary contributions have been established in universities, colleges, libraries, and leading literary organizations across the country. This initiative ensures that her work is accessible to a wider audience and underscores her influence in the literary community.

She noted that several national and international institutions have recognized her contributions to literature by conferring literary awards upon her, including the prestigious title of ‘Poetess of the East.’ This recognition further solidifies her standing in the world of literature.
