Islamabad: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has emphasized that facilitating business and boosting investment are the government’s top priorities. He was chairing the first review meeting of the Private Sector Committee on National Industrial Development in Islamabad today.
According to Radio Pakistan, the Prime Minister said national economic growth, job creation, and increased income are not possible without industrial development. The Prime Minister acknowledged that the Pakistani business community supported government policies during difficult times and helped the country overcome economic crises. He said the country’s economic direction has improved and Pakistan is on the path of development, but further hard work is required for national progress.
Policy recommendations were presented to enhance Pakistan’s industrial development and increase investment in the country. A comparative analysis with regional countries was also shared to highlight ways to improve the competitiveness of Pakistan’s industry.
The Prime Minister commended the proposals and directed to integrate them, with recommendations from other economic sectors, into the national policy framework. He instructed the relevant authorities to conduct a detailed review and prepare a plan for their implementation.
