Experts at Seminar in Islamabad Call for Effective Diplomacy


Islamabad: Speakers at a seminar in Islamabad have emphasized the importance of maintaining a calibrated military posture complemented by proactive and effective diplomacy.



According to Radio Pakistan, the seminar titled ‘India’s Aggression and Pakistan’s Strategic Response: Contemplating the Future Course of Action’ was organized by the Information Service Academy, in collaboration with the Institute of Regional Studies, Islamabad.



Addressing the seminar, former Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee, General (R) Zubair Mehmood Hayat, who was the Guest of Honour, stated that sustainable peace must be underpinned by robust security preparedness.



Executive Director General of ISA, Imrana Wazir, underscored the need for collective intellectual engagement to effectively address emerging regional and global challenges.



Senior military officials, diplomats, scholars, policy experts, media representatives, and students attended the event to deliberate on evolving regional security dynamics and Pakistan’s strategic outlook.



The distinguished speakers included former Corps Commander General (R) Khalid Rabbani, former Foreign Secretaries Jauhar Saleem and Aizaz Ahmad, and President of SASSI University, Dr. Maria Sultan.
