Islamabad: The senior Ex-Servicemen of Pakistan Armed Forces have declared their willingness to stand alongside the Armed Forces in defense of the country amid potential threats from India.
According to Radio Pakistan, Major General (Retd) Javed Aslam Tahir addressed a press conference in Rawalpindi, where he criticized the Pahalgam False Flag Operation allegedly initiated by India. He claimed this was a ploy by India to gain leverage in abrogating the Indus Water Treaty. Representing over two million retired officers and Jawans, he emphasized their unwavering support for Pakistan’s defense.
Major General (Retd) Javed Aslam Tahir assured that the ex-servicemen are prepared to protect every part of the nation. He warned that any Indian aggression would be met with a strong response. He stated that upon the Army Chief’s command, ex-servicemen are ready to join the armed forces on land, air, and sea. He highlighted that India’s attempt to unilaterally breach the Indus Water Treaty threatens Pakistan’s lifeline, and such actions would not go unchallenged.
Air Vice Marshal (Retd) Faheem Arshad added that the Pakistan Air Force surpasses the Indian Air Force in technology and manpower, a fact demonstrated in 2019. He affirmed that the veterans are motivated and ready to serve the country in any capacity. He mentioned past successes, including downing Israeli planes, as proof of their capability.
Brigadier (Retd) Sardar Muhammad Zareen Khan, President of the Ex-Servicemen AJK Chapter, also voiced solidarity with the Armed Forces in the ongoing Pak-India stand-off. He accused India of orchestrating the Pahalgam False Flag Operation to continue its oppression in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir, where people demand self-determination in line with UN resolutions.
