Islamabad: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has reaffirmed that Pakistan will make no compromise on its defense, and every act of provocation will be met with a strong and effective response. In a statement issued on Sunday, he commended the Armed Forces of Pakistan for their decisive and successful operations in response to provocations from Afghanistan, including the precise targeting of terrorist hideouts responsible for attacks on Pakistan.

According to Radio Pakistan, the Prime Minister paid tribute to the 23 security personnel who embraced martyrdom during these operations, honoring their sacrifice with deep respect. He prayed for the elevation of the martyrs’ ranks in heaven and extended heartfelt condolences to their families. He also prayed for the swift recovery of the security personnel injured in operations against terrorists.

Shehbaz Sharif expressed pride in the professional excellence of Pakistan’s Armed Forces, noting that the Army has consistently delivered a crushing response to all forms of external aggression. He emphasized that the entire nation stands firmly united behind its security forces.

Recalling Pakistan’s repeated intelligence sharing with Afghanistan, he highlighted the presence of terrorist elements such as Fitna al-Khawarij and Fitna al-Hindustan operating from Afghan soil against Pakistan. He asserted that these groups receive support from elements within Afghanistan. Shehbaz Sharif said Pakistan expects the Afghan interim government to ensure that its territory is not used by terrorist elements against Pakistan.
