Islamabad: The European Union has endorsed Pakistan’s stance regarding the existence of safe havens for terrorists inside Afghanistan.

According to Radio Pakistan, Ambassador of the European Union to Pakistan Raimundas Karoblis stated that Pakistan’s demand to Afghanistan for action against terrorists operating from Afghan soil is based on legitimate and genuine security concerns. He confirmed that the recent attacks in Pakistan were carried out by militants operating in Afghanistan.

The Ambassador further stated that Pakistan successfully made its case, supported by arguments and evidence that both Fitna al-Khawarij and Fitna al-Hindustan are operating from Afghanistan. The European Union’s acknowledgment that the security threats emerging from across the border are a major victory for Pakistan’s stance.
