Boston: Pakistan’s Ambassador to the United States Rizwan Saeed Sheikh has urged tech leaders and entrepreneurs in the US to fully leverage AI for strengthening Pak-US economic partnership. During a meeting with leading AI and IT professionals of Pakistani origin in Boston, the Ambassador emphasized the pivotal role of the diaspora in transforming the historic US-Pakistan relationship into a robust economic partnership.
According to Radio Pakistan, over forty prominent businesspersons and executives from AI and tech firms attended the meeting. Speaking on this occasion, the Ambassador highlighted opportunities in artificial intelligence, freelancing, and digital innovation as key drivers for mutual prosperity. He said recent high-level engagements between Pakistan and the US have created a unique opportunity for investment, especially in the technology sector.
He underlined that Pakistan’s foreign policy now centers on geo-economics with a focus on economic diplomacy. Ambassador Rizwan Saeed Sheikh highlighted Pakistan’s young population, emerging regulatory framework for crypto and virtual assets, and its strong global position in freelancing. He termed the Pakistani diaspora the country’s permanent ambassadors.
Participants shared ideas on developing Pakistani talent and benefiting from opportunities in the US tech market. The meeting concluded with commitments to form working groups on AI education exchanges and investment facilitation, with the Pakistani Embassy pledging full support for these initiatives.
