Islamabad: Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has recalled the election program of local government elections in Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT). A notification to this effect was issued by the ECP today.

According to Radio Pakistan, the notification referred to the promulgation of the Islamabad Capital Territory Local Government (Amendment) Ordinance, 2026. This ordinance has changed the structure of local governments and the mode of local government elections in Islamabad Capital Territory.
