Islamabad: Minister for Parliamentary Affairs Tariq Fazal Chaudhary has announced that the Election Commission of Pakistan has implemented measures to enhance the enrolment of women on the voters list. Responding to a Calling Attention Notice in the National Assembly, Chaudhary noted that these initiatives have resulted in improved enrolment figures for women compared to previous years.
According to Radio Pakistan, the National Assembly passed two significant bills, namely the International Examination Board Bill, 2024, and the Ghurki Institute of Science and Technology Bill, 2024. Additionally, several other bills were presented before the house, including the Elections Amendment Bill, 2025, and the Trade Organizations Amendment Bill, 2025, among others. These legislative activities reflect the active engagement of the assembly in addressing various governance and institutional matters.
Minister Tariq Fazal Chaudhary also addressed the assembly, commending the armed forces of Pakistan for their role in defending the nation against Indian aggression. He praised the military for its unwavering commitment to the country’s sovereignty and territorial integrity. Other lawmakers echoed these sentiments, expressing unity and support for the defense efforts of the armed forces.
The session concluded with the announcement that the House will reconvene tomorrow at eleven in the morning.
