Minister for Information and Broadcasting Attaullah Tarar has said the recent decline in the inflation to single digit is an evidence of prudent economic policies of the Federal Government under the leadership of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif. Responding to a question during Question Hour in the National Assembly this evening, he said for the first time in last three years inflation recorded at 9.6 percent as per reports of the State Bank of Pakistan. Responding to another question, the Minister said three more NADRA centers, in addition to the existing five facilities, will be established in South Waziristan to facilitate the people. Answering another question, he said employees of closed departments will be either transferred to the new ones or compensated through golden hand shake scheme. Meanwhile, the National Assembly today passed four bills. These include; 'The Apostille Bill, 2024', 'The Cannabis Control and Regulatory Authority Bill, 2024', 'The Establishment of Telecommunication Appellate Tribun al Bill, 2024' and 'The Privatization Commission (Amendment) Bill, 2024'. Besides, 'The Pakistan Navy (Amendment) Bill, 2024' was introduced in the House. The House will now meet tomorrow at 11 a.m. Source: Radio Pakistan
