DPM Vows to Cement Cooperation with Japan in Diverse Sectors


Brussels: Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar has underscored Pakistan’s commitment to strengthen cooperation with Japan across diverse areas. He was having an informal interaction with Japan’s Vice Minister for Foreign Affairs, Eri Arfiya, on the margins of the 4th EU Indo-Pacific Ministerial Forum in Brussels.



According to Radio Pakistan, the meeting highlighted the importance of enhancing bilateral ties between Pakistan and Japan. The discussions focused on exploring opportunities in trade, investment, and technology, with both sides expressing mutual interest in expanding collaboration.



The interaction between the two officials took place against the backdrop of the EU Indo-Pacific Ministerial Forum, which serves as a platform for dialogue on regional and global issues. The forum provided both countries an opportunity to discuss shared interests in maintaining regional peace and stability.



Pakistan and Japan have a long-standing relationship, and both nations are keen to build on this foundation to explore new avenues of cooperation. The meeting between Dar and Arfiya signifies a step forward in this ongoing diplomatic engagement.
