DPM Thanks Allied Parties for Supporting 27th Amendment Bill


Islamabad: Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar has stated that the establishment of a Federal Constitution Court was an unfinished agenda of the Charter of Democracy, which was signed by the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz and the Pakistan People’s Party. Speaking in the Senate following the passage of ‘The Constitution (Twenty-seventh Amendment) Bill, 2025’ from the House, he noted that nearly all political parties had subsequently endorsed the Charter of Democracy.



According to Radio Pakistan, Ishaq Dar emphasized that the creatacion of the Federal Constitutional Court is intended to enhance the country’s judicial system. He clarified that the legislation would not affect the seniority of existing judges of the Supreme Court. Ishaq Dar, who also serves as the leader of the House in the Senate, mentioned that this amendment formalized the rank of Field Marshal, Marshal of the Air Force, and Admiral of the Fleet.



He expressed gratitude to allied parties and independent members for their support of the bill. The House is scheduled to meet again on Thursday at four in the afternoon.
