DPM Reviews Progress of PM’s Special Fuel Relief Scheme

Islamabad:Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar has emphasized the importance of ongoing coordination to aid beneficiaries of the Prime Minister's Special Fuel Relief Scheme and ensure seamless service delivery nationwide.

According to Radio Pakistan, Dar chaired a meeting of the National Steering Committee on Fuel Subsidy in Islamabad to assess the scheme's implementation. The committee evaluated various aspects including registration, token redemption, payments, and complaint management.

The meeting was informed that approximately 7.6 million registrations have been completed, and the token redemption process has progressed into its second week. Additionally, 7.71 million tokens have been redeemed to date.

The Deputy Prime Minister praised the scheme's achievements, noting it as a testament to the "whole of Government" approach. He acknowledged the dedicated efforts of the Ministry of Information Technology and Telecom, Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Ministry of Petroleum, OGRA, State Bank of Pakistan, and all the provinces in executing this coordinated strategy.
