Islamabad: A meeting to review the domestic situation of essential commodities and food items was held in Islamabad on Monday with Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar in the chair. Discussions focused on supply and demand dynamics, pricing trends, and measures to ensure the stable availability of essential food items in the market.
According to Radio Pakistan, Ishaq Dar emphasized the need for a coordinated policy approach to ensure market stability. He reaffirmed the government’s commitment to safeguarding the interests of both consumers and producers through proactive planning, effective oversight, and inter-agency collaboration.
The meeting was attended by the Minister for Commerce, SAPM Tariq Bajwa, Secretary Commerce, and senior officials from relevant ministries and departments.
