Islamabad: Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar has reaffirmed Pakistan's commitment to further deepening engagement with Trkiye in key priority areas. He expressed this resolve during a meeting with Ambassador of Trkiye, Irfan Neziroglu, who called on him in Islamabad today.
According to Radio Pakistan, the Deputy Prime Minister emphasized the need for relevant departments on both sides to closely coordinate preparations for the forthcoming Joint Commission and the 8th Session of the High-Level Strategic Cooperation Council. This coordination aims at advancing the bilateral agenda between Pakistan and Trkiye.
The discussion also included an exchange of views on the evolving regional situation. The Deputy Prime Minister underscored that dialogue and diplomacy remain the only viable path to resolving issues and achieving lasting peace, stability, and prosperity in the region.
During the meeting, the Turkish Ambassador briefed the Deputy Prime Minister on progress under various bilateral institutional mechanisms. These mechanisms are aimed at advancing cooperation across a range of areas, following recent high-level interactions between Pakistan and Trkiye.
