DPM Meets Saudi, Iranian, Somalian Counterparts in Jeddah


Jeddah: Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar today met Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan Al Saud on the sidelines of the OIC CFM emergency session in Jeddah concerning Palestine. In a post on X, he stated that discussions centered around the humanitarian situation in Gaza, focusing on the need for a ceasefire, humanitarian access, reconstruction, and peace.



According to Radio Pakistan, Ishaq Dar also engaged with Iranian Foreign Minister Seyed Abbas Araghchi. The meeting included condemnation of Israeli actions in Gaza and a call for humanitarian aid and a ceasefire. The discussions highlighted recent high-level exchanges and reaffirmed ties between Pakistan and Iran while addressing regional peace and security.



Additionally, Ishaq Dar met with the Foreign Minister of Somalia to discuss Gaza’s situation, condemn Israeli actions, and stress humanitarian relief. They emphasized enhancing cooperation in trade and economic ties. Ishaq Dar thanked Somalia for its support during Pakistan’s recent floods.
