New York:Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar met with Algeria's Foreign Minister Ahmed Attaf on the sidelines of the 81st session of the United Nations General Assembly.

According to Radio Pakistan, the discussions between the two ministers focused on enhancing bilateral relations, particularly in areas such as trade and investment, economic cooperation, education, culture, and people-to-people contacts.

Both leaders highlighted the importance of sustained high-level engagement and shared their perspectives on regional and global developments. Ishaq Dar emphasized the role of dialogue and diplomacy in addressing contemporary challenges.

The ministers expressed satisfaction with the cooperation between their countries at multilateral forums, especially within the United Nations, and agreed to strengthen their coordination further. They also committed to maintaining close contact to sustain the momentum in their bilateral relations.
