Islamabad: Director General Inter-Services Public Relations, Lieutenant General Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry, has announced that India has targeted the Pakistan Air Force’s Nur Khan, Murid, and Shorkot air bases. He reassured the public that all air force assets remain safe.

According to Radio Pakistan, Lieutenant General Chaudhry addressed the media on Saturday, stating that India has been escalating its actions by firing air-to-surface missiles with its jets. Additionally, India has launched missiles into Afghanistan and conducted drone attacks there, actions he described as pushing the region toward a dangerous conflict.

Lieutenant General Chaudhry emphasized that Pakistan would not be intimidated by India’s power or aggression. He warned India to wait for Pakistan’s response.

In a subsequent media briefing, Lieutenant General Chaudhry provided updates on the missile attack, noting that most missiles were intercepted by Pakistan’s air defense system. The few that penetrated did not cause damage to Pakistan Air Force’s assets, according to initial damage assessment reports. He asserted that Pakistan’s air defense thwarted India’s objectives.

He further accused India of launching missiles and drone attacks on Afghanistan, suggesting a larger plan to destabilize the region. Electronic signatures of the missiles have been recorded, revealing their origins and targets.

Lieutenant General Chaudhry assured the Pakistani public that their armed forces remain vigilant against Indian aggression. He criticized India’s actions as reflecting paranoia, which grows with each failed attempt to intimidate Pakistan. This frustration, he noted, is expected to increase.

Meanwhile, Minister for Information and Broadcasting Attaullah Tarar confirmed on social media platform X that all assets of the Pakistan Air Force are safe, and Indian missiles have been successfully intercepted by Pakistan’s air defense system.
