ISLAMABAD: Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir has been turned into an open-air prison as the Modi-led Indian regime has intensified its brutal military crackdown across the territory under the guise of security.
According to Radio Pakistan, daily cordon and search operations, house raids, and arbitrary roadside checks by Indian army, paramilitary, and police personnel have suffocated civilian life.
The oppressive tactics have extended to major highways and towns, with checkpoints set up across the Srinagar-Jammu highway and streets in Baramulla, Bandipora, Ganderbal, Kulgam, Pulwama, and Kathua. Meanwhile, Democratic Freedom Party has condemned Israel’s naked aggression on Iran, expressing full solidarity on behalf of the Kashmiri people.
The party in a statement in Srinagar drew a parallel between Israeli atrocities and India’s brutal occupation of Jammu and Kashmir, saying both regimes trample international law with impunity. On the other hand, Kashmiri students stranded in Iran say they feel abandoned by the Indian government, as students from Pakistan and Arab nations have already been evacuated.
Meanwhile, an Indian soldier took his own life by shooting himself with his service rifle in Srinagar, raising the number of such deaths among Indian security personnel to 628 in IIOJK since January 01, 2007.
