Islamabad: Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar will depart for Iran tomorrow to participate in the 28th meeting of the Council of Ministers of the Economic Cooperation Organization (ECO). In his address at the meeting, Deputy PM Dar will emphasize Pakistan's commitment to the ECO charter and the potential for enhanced connectivity in the region through the development of rail and road networks, the liberalization of visa regimes, and the simplification of border procedures. According to Radio Pakistan, the Deputy Prime Minister will also express Pakistan's concerns regarding hostilities in the Middle East, which threaten regional peace and security. Additionally, he is expected to sign the Charter for the ECO Clean Energy Center, underscoring Pakistan's commitment to sustainable energy initiatives. On the sidelines of the ministerial meeting, Deputy PM Dar will engage in bilateral discussions with other participating ministers and dignitaries, aiming to strengthen cooperation and address mutual concerns within the ECO framework.
