Defence Minister Calls for Further Cementing Pak-Sri Lanka Ties

Islamabad: Pakistan and Sri Lanka have expressed satisfaction over ongoing collaboration between the two countries aimed at strengthening cooperation in mutually beneficial fields. This sentiment was shared during a meeting between the High Commissioner of Sri Lanka, retired Rear Admiral Fre Seneviratne, and the Minister for Defence, Khawaja Muhammad Asif, in Islamabad.

According to Radio Pakistan, during the meeting, the Minister for Defence appreciated the longstanding friendship between the two nations. He emphasized that, considering the proximity of views on major issues and in the regional context, both countries should further cement existing ties by capitalizing on the positive trajectory of their multifaceted relations.

The Sri Lankan High Commissioner conveyed his deep gratitude for the timely humanitarian assistance and support provided by the Government of Pakistan. He acknowledged the significance of this cooperation in enhancing the bilateral relationship between the two countries.
