Death Anniversary of Senior PPP Leader Rehman Malik Observed Today


Islamabad: The third death anniversary of former interior minister and senior leader of the Pakistan People’s Party, Senator Rehman Malik, is being observed today. Malik was known for his significant contributions to Pakistani politics and his tenure as a senior bureaucrat.



According to Radio Pakistan, Rehman Malik earned his Master’s degree in Statistics from the University of Karachi in 1973 and was later awarded an honorary PhD from the same institution in 2012. His academic and professional achievements laid a strong foundation for his political career.



Throughout his career, Malik held various important roles, including serving as the Federal Interior Minister of Pakistan from 2008 to 2013. His leadership during this period was marked by efforts to address national security concerns and implement policy measures.



Malik’s contributions to the nation were recognized with prestigious awards like the Sitara-e-Shujaat and the Nishan-e-Imtiaz, acknowledging his service to the country. His legacy continues to be remembered by the Pakistan People’s Party and the broader political community.
