Death Anniversary of Qawwal Ghulam Farid Sabri Observed


Karachi: The 31st death anniversary of renowned Qawwal Ghulam Farid Sabri was observed on Saturday. Ghulam Farid Sabri, along with his brother Maqbool Sabri, were famously known as the Sabri Brothers and gained significant recognition in the field of Qawwali music.



According to Radio Pakistan, the Sabri Brothers are celebrated for their timeless qawwalis, including “Mera Koi Nahin Hai Tere Siwa,” “Bhardo Jholi Meri Ya Muhammad,” and “Taajdar-e-Haram.” These pieces have left a lasting impact on the genre and continue to be cherished by audiences worldwide.



Ghulam Farid Sabri passed away in 1994 in Karachi, leaving behind a rich legacy in Qawwali music. His contributions to the art form are remembered and honored by fans and admirers every year on his death anniversary.
