Lahore: The sixty-second death anniversary of playwright and poet Shaukat Thanvi was observed today. Born in 1904, Thanvi made significant contributions to Urdu literature with an impressive portfolio of around sixty books, which included collections of short stories, novels, and essays.
According to Radio Pakistan, Shaukat Thanvi was honored with the Tamgha-e-Imtiaz for his contributions to literature. His legacy continues to be celebrated, marking his passing in Lahore in 1963.
