Lahore: The fifty-eighth death anniversary of musician and composer Rasheed Attre is being observed today.
According to Radio Pakistan, Rasheed Attre, born in 1919 in Amritsar, British India, began his illustrious music career by composing for several films, including Laila Mujnun, Rukhsana, and Gulshan.
His notable compositions include “Sada hon apnay piar ki,” “Gulon men rung bhary,” and “Aaey mausam rangeelay suhanay.” Throughout his career, he was recognized with the prestigious Nigar award three times for his contributions to music.
Rasheed Attre passed away on this day in 1967 in Lahore, leaving behind a legacy celebrated by music enthusiasts to this day.
