Death Anniversary of Former PM Sir Feroz Khan Noon Being Observed Today


Lahore: 55th death anniversary of former Prime Minister of Pakistan Sir Feroz Khan Noon is being observed on Tuesday. He was born in 1893 in Lahore and made significant contributions to the country’s legal and political landscape.



According to Radio Pakistan, Feroz Khan Noon practiced law at Lahore High Court from 1917 to 1926 before transitioning into politics. He was appointed as Minister of Health and Education in the Punjab cabinet, showcasing his early involvement in governance.



His diplomatic skills were recognized when he served as High Commissioner for India in London from 1936 to 1941. In October 1947, Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah selected Noon as his special envoy to engage with countries in the Muslim world.



Sir Feroz Khan Noon held the office of the seventh Prime Minister of Pakistan from 16th December 1957 to 7th October 1958. He passed away on this day in 1970 in his ancestral village, Nurpur Noon near Bhalwal, Sargodha District.
