Death Anniversary of Chaudhry Rehmat Ali Observed

Lahore: The 75th death anniversary of prominent leader of the Pakistan Movement, Chaudhry Rehmat Ali, who conceived and coined the word "Pakistan," was observed on Tuesday. Chaudhry Rehmat Ali, born in the Hoshiarpur district of eastern Punjab on November 16, 1897, is widely recognized for his significant contribution to the creation of a separate Muslim homeland in South Asia.

According to Radio Pakistan, Chaudhry Rehmat Ali is known as the founder of the movement for Pakistan's creation. In 1933, he established the Pakistan National Movement in England and authored a famous pamphlet titled "Now or Never; Are We to Live or Perish Forever," which played a pivotal role in advocating for a separate nation for Muslims.

Chaudhry Rehmat Ali passed away on this day in 1951 and was laid to rest in Cambridge, United Kingdom. His contributions to the Pakistan Movement continue to be remembered and honored.
