Lahore: The 18th death anniversary of renowned classical, semi-classical, and playback singer Asad Amanat Ali Khan was observed on Tuesday. According to Radio Pakistan, Asad Amanat Ali Khan, born in 1955, was a distinguished member of the famous Patiala Gharana. He was the son of the celebrated singer Ustad Amanat Ali Khan, and he made significant contributions to the world of music with his captivating voice and memorable performances. His famous songs include "Kal Chowdhwein Ki Raat thi," "Ankhain Ghazal Hain Aap Ki," "Ghar Wapis Jab Aao Gay Tum," and "Umraan Langiyan Pabbhaan Phaar." These songs remain cherished by fans and continue to resonate with audiences. In recognition of his contributions to music, the Government of Pakistan awarded him the Pride of Performance in 2007. Asad Amanat Ali Khan passed away on this day in 2007 in London, leaving behind a legacy of timeless music.
