Death Anniversary of Arfa Karim Observed

Lahore: The 14th death anniversary of the country's computer prodigy, Arfa Karim Randhawa, was observed on Wednesday. She became the world's youngest Microsoft Certified Professional at the age of nine.

According to Radio Pakistan, Microsoft Corporation invited the young genius to America for a visit the same year following her achievement, and she also represented Pakistan on various international forums. Arfa Karim was the recipient of the Pride of Performance award as well as the Fatimah Jinnah Gold Medal in the field of Science and Technology. At the age of 16, Arfa Karim passed away on this day in 2012 in Lahore.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has paid tribute to Arfa Karim Randhawa, the world's youngest Microsoft Certified Professional, on her death anniversary. In a statement, he said Arfa Karim was a symbol of the intelligence, talent, and potential of Pakistani youth. He noted that she brought global recognition to Pakistan at a very young age and proved that Pakistani youth are second to none.

Shehbaz Sharif further mentioned that Arfa Karim's achievements continue to serve as a guiding light for the country's younger generation. He highlighted her dream of seeing a modern Pakistan equipped with knowledge and advanced technology.

The Prime Minister emphasized the pride associated with the Software Technology Park in Lahore being named after Arfa Karim Randhawa. He reaffirmed the government's commitment to transforming her vision into reality by providing youth with opportunities in education, research, and technology.

The Prime Minister expressed sympathies with Arfa Karim's parents and family members and prayed for her soul to have a high place in heaven, hoping the nation follows in her footsteps.
