Lahore: Minister for Information and Broadcasting Attaullah Tarar has said the government is working round the clock to provide real and sustainable relief to citizens. Addressing a workers’ convention in Lahore today, he said despite inheriting a fragile economy, widespread inflation, and political polarization, the government made tough but necessary decisions in the interest of the nation.

According to Radio Pakistan, Attaullah Tarar emphasized that when Pakistan faced unprecedented challenges, the Prime Minister prioritized the state’s well-being over political gains, refusing to jeopardize the country’s future for short-term political advantage. The minister highlighted that Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has fulfilled his promise of providing affordable electricity to the people.

Tarar underscored that the government’s concerted efforts focus on providing tangible relief rather than mere slogans, which have resulted in positive outcomes. He noted that Pakistan’s economic performance is gaining international recognition.

He further elaborated that with lower electricity costs, inflation at single digits, and a booming stock market, all economic indicators point towards a prosperous future for Pakistan. Tarar concluded by stating that Pakistan is on the rise, and under the ‘Uraan Pakistan’ initiative, the country is poised to achieve unprecedented economic development.
