Islamabad: Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif emphasized Pakistan’s commitment to providing facilities for Sikh pilgrims. He made this statement during a meeting with Jasdeep Singh, President of a US-based Sikh community organization, in Islamabad.
According to Radio Pakistan, the Prime Minister highlighted Pakistan’s role as a host to many Sikh holy sites, which attract visitors from around the globe for religious rituals. He expressed pride in facilitating these pilgrims and announced plans for a comprehensive strategy to support the welfare of the Sikh community residing in Pakistan, as well as visiting pilgrims from other countries.
The Prime Minister also acknowledged the significant contributions of overseas Pakistanis to the nation’s development and prosperity. During the meeting, Jasdeep Singh expressed gratitude to the Prime Minister and the Pakistani government for their hospitality towards the Sikh pilgrims.
Minister for Law and Justice Azam Nazir Tarar and Pakistani-American businessman Sajid Tarar were also in attendance during the meeting.
