Islamabad: Mainly cold and dry weather is expected over most parts of the country during the next twelve hours while very cold in hilly areas. Moderate to dense fog is likely to persist over Punjab, upper Sindh, and plain areas of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
According to Radio Pakistan, the temperature in major cities recorded this morning included Islamabad and Peshawar at three degrees centigrade, Lahore at five, Karachi at eleven, Quetta and Muzaffarabad at two, Gilgit at minus-four, and Murree at one degree centigrade.
The weather forecast for Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir indicates very cold and dry conditions in Srinagar, Leh, Pulwama, Anantnag, Shopian, and Baramula, while Jammu is expected to experience cold and foggy weather. Morning temperatures were recorded at minus-three degrees centigrade in Srinagar, Anantnag, and Shopian, five in Jammu, minus-eleven in Leh, and minus-four in Pulwama and Baramula.
