Islamabad: Mainly cold and dry weather is likely to prevail over most parts of the country during the next twelve hours. Shallow smog may develop over the plain areas of Punjab.
According to Radio Pakistan, the temperature recorded in major cities this morning was notably low. Islamabad registered seven degrees centigrade, Lahore twelve, Karachi eighteen, Peshawar eight, Quetta one, Gilgit minus-three, while Murree and Muzafarabad recorded five degrees centigrade.
The weather forecast for Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir indicates cold and dry weather in Srinagar, Pulwama, Anantnag, Shopian, and Baramula, with very cold and dry conditions in Leh, and dry weather in Jammu. The temperatures recorded this morning were minus-one degree centigrade in Srinagar, Pulwama, and Baramula; thirteen in Jammu; minus-five in Leh; and zero degrees centigrade in Anantnag and Shopian.
