Islamabad: Weather is likely to remain cold and dry over most parts of the country, with very cold conditions in hilly areas during morning and night hours over the next twelve hours. Smog, coupled with shallow to moderate fog in patches during morning and night, is expected to develop over the plain areas of Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
According to Radio Pakistan, the temperatures recorded this morning in major cities were: Islamabad and Muzaffarabad at five degrees centigrade, Lahore at twelve, Karachi at eighteen, Peshawar at nine, Quetta at minus-one, Gilgit at minus-four, and Murree at four degrees centigrade.
The weather forecast for Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir predicts cold and dry weather, with very cold conditions during the morning expected in Srinagar, Pulwama, Anantnag, Shopian, and Baramula. Leh is expected to experience very cold and dry weather, while Jammu will see dry weather. The temperatures recorded this morning in these areas were: Srinagar at minus-one degree centigrade, Jammu at nine, Leh at minus-six, Pulwama and Baramula at two, and Anantnag and Shopian at one degree centigrade.
