Lahore: Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz has sought a comprehensive plan to boost wheat production and assist farmers. Chairing a meeting in Lahore on Saturday, she directed to bring down the cost of agricultural inputs before the start of the wheat cultivation season.
According to Radio Pakistan, the Chief Minister also directed to give targeted subsidy to provide relief to small farmers. The meeting agreed to provide interest-free loans worth one hundred billion rupees before the wheat cultivation.
