Certain Elements Continue to Propagate Negative, Misleading Narrative Against Pakistan: Aqeel

Islamabad: Minister of State for Law and Justice Barrister Aqeel Malik has stated that certain elements persist in spreading a negative and misleading narrative about Pakistan, which is severely impacting the country’s political climate and its youth.

According to Radio Pakistan, during a press conference held alongside Parliamentary Secretary for Information Barrister Danyal Chaudhry, Aqeel Malik highlighted that these individuals consistently make baseless and delusional statements. These statements are swiftly echoed by their party members, exacerbating the spread of misinformation.

The Minister emphasized that social media accounts, many of which are unrecognizable even to their own leadership, are instrumental in amplifying this harmful misinformation. He urged the opposition to fulfill its constitutional responsibilities, reminding them that they were elected to play a constructive and positive role in Parliament. However, he criticized their apparent disinterest in key legislative issues, such as the 26th and 27th Constitutional Amendments.

In his address, Parliamentary Secretary for Information and Broadcasting Barrister Danyal Chaudhry accused the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) of engaging in propaganda against Pakistan and its state institutions. He asserted that the party’s politics is founded on false narratives that not only tarnished the country’s reputation during its tenure but are now also attempting to undermine the positive economic progress Pakistan is currently experiencing.
